Met Gala 2018: Everything that Happened There
This week took place the most important event in the fashion calendar. In New York, hundreds of celebrities came together for the one and only Met Gala 2018.
For those who don’t know what that is, “The Met Gala, formally called the Costume Institute Gala and also known as the Met Ball, is an annual fundraising gala for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City. It marks the grand opening of the Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibit.”
The exhibition, entitled “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination” started on the iconic stairs of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where stars gathered to make their grand entrance.
Rihanna, portraying a pope inspired haut couture dramatic outfit, was dressed by Galliano and Margiella.
For Met gala 2018, Gigi Hadid chose to wear a dress made by Donatella Versace and embraced the image of an angel.
Versace has created the majority of gowns for this fabulous event, and Kim Kardashian elegantly wears this golden perfectly fitted dress.
Thank you @donatella_versace for designing this stunning dress and thank you to the @versace team! This dress was inspired by the iconic gold chainmail and cross designs from the 1997 Versace couture show & thank you @lorraineschwartz for the beautiful jewels! #Versace #HeavenlyBodies

In a Versace gown, Cindy Crawford opted for a classic red elegant dress with a twist, the leather-like ethereal flowing material.
So we can see, this year’s Met Gala was full of astonishing surprises with heavily constructed designs and cross and catholic inspired jewelry. We’re happy with the creativity and inspiration that this night has spread into the world.
